While their fellow artists wrestle with the problem of injecting emotion and passion into the works often pigeonholded as ambient or chillout, Lunz (composers, German-born Hans-Joachim Roedelius and American Tim Story) take the opposite track, starting with passion and injecting the music afterwards. ‘Lunz’ has been liken to the sound of creation, and it's no great leap to imagine The Almighty molding nature with this gently unfolding in the background. It is the sound of peace and contentment. It is not chillout as there is a story being told here, through the caressing of the piano keys and the brushing of cello strings. What that story is, is for you to decide; but sheer elegance of these pieces-as effortlessly moving as anything by Mozart or Debussy-can move you to tears.- Gillian Nash, Logo Magazine
